CSA Z1210-17First Aid – Intermediate Level (16h) – CSA Z1210-17 Compliant
Upon successful completion of this 16-hour IN-PERSON intermediate-level first aid training, the candidate will receive a valid certification that meets the requirements of 'Intermediate First Aid Training' as defined in the CSA Z1210-17 standard.

Ontario scales the number of first-aiders to workers per shift — from one Emergency First Aider (1–5 workers) up to a first-aid room at 200+ — under the WSIB workplace first-aid regulation (Reg. 1101).
Ontario childcare licensing (O. Reg. 137/15 under the Child Care and Early Years Act) requires Standard First Aid with infant & child CPR from a WSIB-approved agency, within 90 days of hire, for every supervisor and ratio-counted employee.
Ontario's Good Samaritan Act, 2001 protects those who voluntarily help in good faith from liability, and the Chase McEachern Act (2007) extends that protection to AED use.
Ontario nurses are regulated by the College of Nurses of Ontario, whose mandatory Quality Assurance program (under the RHPA) asks them to self-assess and keep clinical skills — including resuscitation — current, rather than count fixed hours.
In Ontario retirement and long-term-care homes, direct-care staff must hold Standard First Aid with CPR Level C (or BLS) and be able to use an AED, under the Retirement Homes Act (O. Reg. 166/11).
Ontario foster parents must hold a current Standard First Aid certificate including infant & child CPR from a WSIB-approved agency, under O. Reg. 156/18 (Child, Youth and Family Services Act), kept current throughout approval.
Online CPR and first-aid training is recognized in Ontario; Regulation 1101 accepts Emergency/Standard First Aid from a WSIB-approved provider, with the practical portion normally in person (blended). 3-year certification.
